The Enforcers

Perhaps the most noticable and fearsome change to have been set upon Earth is the federal organization known as the Enforcers. These men and women are the Committee's elite in the field of law enforcement. Rarely, if ever, are these individuals seen without the concealing visored helmet that has become something of a trademark amongst them. When on duty, Enforcers always speak in a stern and emotionless voice that is all business. How an Enforcer acts off duty is unknown since no one seems to be aware as to the identity of any of the federal agents. By all the offical records, the Enforcers are composed of former operatives of government agencies from around the world, including the former FBI, ATF, and United States Marshals. However, many agents who retired from such organizations when the US government fell through claim to have as little knowledge of the Enforcers' true identities as the average citizen.

At any rate, the unsettling atmosphere brought on by the Enforcers combined with their swift and brutal brand of justice makes many citizens quick to cooperate with government demands more out of fear than respect. Local police are always leery when an Enforcer investigation crosses over into the cops juridiction. One can never be sure when a federal agent is simply going about his/her business or is up to something else.

At this time, the Enforcers act under the leadership of Head Constable Burkar, reporting either directly to him or one of his countless subordinates. With Manhattan being the world's capital, security is frighteningly strict in New York. Any threats within the city's border are often closely observed by Burkar himself.
