Powers
-Combative Magic. Unlike a good portion of human spell casters, Kirn is remarkably proficient with combative magic. He is
capable of such magical feats as hurling fireballs, lightning, and other destructive types of energy. Kirn can of
course cast spells with less damaging effects. These will be outlined as they appear within the story.
-Channeling Staff. Since the power required for combative magic is considerable, strain on a caster is always an issue.
Thus Kirn always carries a staff that focuses and amplifies his energy, boosting the strength of his spells and
reducing the strain. The staff has a metal statue of a crow mounted as the headpiece. The statue often lights up in
some manner depending on the spell Kirn is using.
-Dection of Spells. As a mage, Kirn is highly sensitive to magic and its flow throughout Creation. He can sense whether or
not items are enchanted, track focused points of mystic energy, and even detected the level of magical power in a
person or thing. Currently, Kirn can sense something "wrong" in the flow of magic, but is unable to determine what
the cause may be.
Skills
Living so much of his life on the road, Kirn has become familiar with a variety of territories on Neddel. He has some
experience with the other races and is familiar is the more common customs of elves, dwarves, and goblins. As a hobby,
Kirn draws and sketches and is a talented artist in his own right.
History
Kirn Stormpheonix is viewed as something of a delinquent by the other lower mages for traveling amongst the mudane populace
and by the Spirits for practicing combative magic. In his youth, Kirn had been sent to live within the Spirits' library
until he found the confines of Spirit society to be far too stifling and restrictive for his free-spirited tastes.
After leaving the Spirits, Kirn decided to see the world and got by with his more benign spells to become a popular
entertainer for the few human settlements that weren't too biased against magic. In time, Kirn met other wizards like
himself who were able to teach him the lost art of self-defense sorcery. To this day, Kirn sees the Spirits as an
institution dedicated to magical censorship, too afraid of mundane humans to make any difference in the world.
Though he does hold some of their members in high regard for skill in the field of spellcraft.
As a person, Kirn is often friendly to those he meets. Life to him, holds an endless stream of opportunities to enjoy and
the world is here for people to explore. Kirn has incredible charisma when it comes to women and rarely does
he find himself alone at night. The fiercest critic of Kirn's social practices is his sister, Sera. Kirn often
notices that the rebel attitude he long went by has rubbed off on his younger sibling and feels a need to check up on
her from time to time, much to Sera's annoyance.
