Powers

As one of the highest ranking human mages on Neddel, Faira commands a vast store of arcane power. However, since human magic is very limited in the sphere of combat, Faira is restricted to spells rooted in divination and utility magic. If forced into a confrontation, Faira does possess enough offensive sorcery to defend herself against most mundane attackers. Otherwise, Faira possesses the same physical and mental capacity of a normal human female of her age, weight, and build who engages in very moderate exercise.

History

Faira is a member of the Spirits, Neddel's human arch-mages. Her magical talents were discovered in her early child-hood, making her a target of discrimination from mundane humans since she was young. Hoping to find their daughter some place of safety, Faira's parents sent her away to the library of the Spirits where she could be with other people like her.

Since then, she was raised among the arch-mages and eventually attained the rank of Spirit herself. From there, she acted as a teacher to the hundreds of pupils taking residence within the library. For a time she even found herself romanticly involved with the Spirit Turoth until the first portal leading to Earth opened. Since then, the stress of the Expedition to the alien world combined with the crisis now facing the Realms has pushed the two them apart. Nowadays, Faira often sees her former lover as an arrogant gambler who doesn't take the effects of his actions as seriously as he should. Though she did take part in casting the Spell of the Shadows and agrees that the newly created Shadowed Ones could very well be Creation's last hope.
